ADDID ABABA, ETHIOPIA, OCTOBER 24, 2002 : Schoolgirls show off their inked fingers after being immunized against polio in Addis Ababa, during the national polio immunization days in Ethiopia. Ethiopia is a very poor country living a precarious peace after 20 years of wars and famines. With its warm climate, poor sanitations and lack of basic health services, it is a fertile ground for polio transmition.
