.VARANASSI, UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA - SEPTEMBER 13, 2005 : The Gange river is high and swift during the monsoon. Life along the Ganges river begins every morning with a ritual bath in the holi river. Varanassi, also named Benares or Kachi, is one of the holiest place for Hindus in India, drawing millions of pilgrims every year.
